Gravel is a non-renewable natural resource and can’t be found everywhere. Gravel pits must be located, tested, developed, monitored, maintained, and reclaimed in a responsible manner. We follow a strict code of practice pit development, use, and reclamation. Constructing fail-safe settling ponds, outflow structures and continuous turbidity, silt and sediment testing are done regularly to preserve our essential river waterways for generations to come. Additionally, we keep our operations to a manageable area to avoid excessive disturbance to the environment.
Our Commitment to Safety and the Environment
Our primary goals are the safety of our employees and the protection of the environment. As a part of Alberta’s ecosystem, we have safety and environmental programs in place for all stages of gravel production and land use.
